About the Project
Paying tribute to the ever-popular and unique Wake the Dead Coffee House in San Marcos, TX, this website hopes to bring a new audience and awareness to the menu, history, coffee, events and art of the Central Texas staple. Here, customers are treated like family!
Theresa Christine Etim
A deep dark roast from the Mountains of East Africa, TheresaChristine is an Ethiopian Arabica Coffee, that is smooth to the sip with a jolt of energy once consumed. Much like the southwestern highlands of her origins, she enjoys nature's vastness, and her love for Zebra and Tribal prints stem from the scenery of the Serengeties of her homeland. Her love and taste for different types of music and movies resemble the variance in Texas culture, where she resides. Although she mirrors softness of Africa's physical beauty, she embodies the strength displayed in Africa's rich and triumphant history.

Medium roasted, chilled by an early life in severe Siberian winters, Veronika Kondratieva is a caramel latte with an extra shot of espresso and a handful of peppermint sprinkles on top that gives you a refreshing sense of awakening as good as the popular Iced Toddy Wake the Dead has in store. A blunt blend of coolness and sarcasm with passion for movies and future in broadcasting brings a diverse taste of the opposite side of the world and a hyper attitude.
Jacqueline Lege
Lightly roasted by a lifetime in the Texan sun, Jacqueline Lege is a Cajun French bean with a taste experience comparable to the finest cup of joe Wake the Dead has to offer. A tiny body and limitless verbal acidity punctuate an otherwise confused abstractness, and subtle notes of photography and student living are ever present in this funny little bean.

A change of pace from the usual, Tara Pohlmeyer is a creamy hot chocolate served up piping hot, much like the summer temperatures of her home in deep South Texas. Her rich flavor punctuates each conversation and journalistic interview, and is balanced by the whipped cream topping of her witty sense of humor and love of plants.
